The Port of Los Angeles is the busiest cargo terminal in the United States and is poised for significant expansion to meet 21st century Pacific Rim trading demand. Developers recently transformed a 63-acre former tank farm site into a major storage and transfer facility serving the port. EPA prepared the Draft and Final EIR for the 2 million square foot warehouse project which is now fully operational. The EIR addressed extensive brownfield issues and was expeditiously processed through the City of Los Angeles with no appeals or delays.
