Urban Housing Communities

EPA prepared the expanded Initial Study and MND for a 90-unit affordable housing community that involved rehabilitation of existing structures and development of new units adjacent to Reseda Elementary School.  Through the CEQA process, an historical resource was identified and relocation mitigation developed to ensure that impacts would be reduced to a less than significant level.  Shadows, air quality and noise impacts relative to adjacent homes and the school were also areas of detailed analysis and community interest.  The MND and Initial Study were approved by the City’s Expedited Unit in the Planning Department less than two weeks after initial submittal.
